@D Thomas: The hot pot fixings in the picture are the hot pot skewers, various vegetables on a stick ready to be dunked into the hot pot. They just happen to be arranged as well as any hot pot fixings we’ve ever seen. We have come across hot pot restaurants in Europe, but not many. And unfortunately, they don’t quite match the hot pot experience in China. Come to think of it, hot pot in Europe is often referred to as fondue (not just the cheese variety, but the hot broth variety as well). I suspect there’s hot pot in London…just a matter of poking around to find out where.

What are those ‘Fixings fro Hot Pot’ in the pic. Have you ever come across a Hot Pot ‘joint’ in Europe? I wonder if there’s one in China Town, London? Nice blog.

Lori: Glad you found our blog and that you’re enjoying it! I definitely understand why your husband still talks about hot pot. We wonder why it hasn’t taken off in Europe or the States. Such a simple concept, but delicious and fun.

Just found your blog and wanted to say that it is amazing! The post on hot pot caught my attention. My husband traveled to China a few years ago on business and loved hot pot. He still talks about it.

We are US ex-pats living in Brazil who love to travel. I find your adventures so interesting. I am looking forward to reading more!
