bestoy Have a nice day my friend!... Carpets (felt carpets on the wall of the Yurt) are same like our "istings" (Checheno-Ingushetian felt carpets) ... This is very isteresting for me! ... I thing we took this hand making felt carpet technology from turkic&mongoloid folks when Timur invite to caucausia.... If you arouse interest for these carpets motives you can find some authentic ingush and tush carpet motives in my photostream...I think this photo is a Super Shot Please add your photo to www.flickr.com/groups/supershot/ After you add it to the group pool, please tag this photo as a SuperShot Posted: October 02 2007

uncorneredmarket The colors and designs of the felt carpets ("shyrdak" in Kyrgyz) are really strong and striking - we love them. In addition to being beautiful, the shyrdaks are also really practical - they help keep the wind from coming into the yurt so that the inside stays warm and cosy.I saw the designs in your photo streams - it's interesting to see the similarities and differences between cultures in this region.
