aldo_castellanos
aldo_castellanos How cold was it? What was the altitude here? It seems to me that this is a plateau or a high valley. Posted: October 24 2007

uncorneredmarket The lake is at around 3000 meters, so it's like a high valley. It's premium grazing land, so the area around the lake is full of animals and yurts in the summer months. By the time we got there, many had moved back to the villages for winter. It was above zero during the day, but dropped to about 5 below at night. We had about 5 blankets on us in the yurt!
