Is this house still existing? I come from Jinan, but I've never seen it before.

We're not sure if it still exists today; my grandfather was not able to find it when he visited China in 1990 but another relative found it a few years before and a retired general was living in it. The information we have is that it was on a Presbyterian missionary compound in the early 1900s near a moat (not sure if the moat still exists), southeast of the lake and within the old city walls. If you have any idea where it may be (street or neighborhood), it would be much appreciated.

If it still exists, it must be near the Daming Lake and hidden behind some private parks, because this house is quite huge and it is impossible that I have never seen it before if it is located near a street. Hopefully it is under the protection of the government. The old city of Jinan has changed a lot, many old houses are gradually disappearing. What a pity!
I like this photo very much. It reminds me of my childhood and the winter in Jinan at that time...
