We were tipped off to this quasi-secret lunch place by our Beijing friends. Called People 8, it is a fancy Japanese restaurant decked out in black (you need a flashlight to navigate the bathroom). uncorneredmarket Yes, definitely check it out! People 8/Shintori is on 18 Jianguomen Road. Look for the entrance to Scitech hotel at the back of Scitech Plaza. Cross the small street and look for a black door around the corner. There's no sign, but that's the place. It's all decked out in black, so let your eyes adjust. Enjoy! Posted: January 07 2008
