Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang features a large pool of turtles at its entrance. The water gets drained each evening and locals come to feed the turtles. Feeding turtles, we're told, is supposed to help remove obstacles in your life. Superstition aside, it just happened to be a fun activity.

These turtles were the exception, which is why I thought they were so cute. Most of the other turtles were literally climbing on top of each other to get to the food!
