The children in Gadatola village (outside Siliguri, India) became excited when we took out our camera. It was tough to take photos since the only light came from the headlights of the car and the flash of the camera (the village had no electricity), but we hope their energy and smiles come through in this shot.
The village is inhabited by Saontals, an ethnic group who were moved to the area by the British from the Jharkhand region.
