Almost all food found on the western side of the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal (with the exception of locally grown wheat, rice and vegetables) comes up the trail on the backs of mules and men. Human porters, like this man, carry up to 50 kilos of food up steep inclines and rocky terrain.
Notice the footwear: flip-flops.
