The new CCTV (Chinese Government TV Station) in Beijing is to be finished before the Olympics in August 2008. When we visited in November 2007, there was still a long ways to go. Construction teams worked on it 24-hours a day; we would watch the sparks fly into the air in the middle of the night from our friend's 26th floor apartment nearby.
