Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) - Dresden

The Frauenkirche, considered Germany's most important Lutheran church, is situated on the Neumarkt (new market). It was built between 1723 and 1743, but was badly bombed during World War II and remained an anti-war monument in its rubbled state until the early 1990's. The church was rebuilt recently, true to its original form, using stones from the original structure. Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) - Dresden
