Yachts and speedboats pass Patong's long white sand beach. Of all of southern Thailand's beaches, Patong is the most developed we'd seen, with umbrellas and beach chairs covering it by early morning.
We preferred to save our money, throwing ourselves and our sarongs closer to the water.
