Stolpersteine (Stumbling Blocks) in Mitte, Berlin

If you walk around Berlin, you'll notice these "stumbling blocks" marking some of the doorways. They represent the people who once lived in the building before WW II and the Holocaust. They also explain what happened to the person - where he/she was deported and whether he/she lived. An important reminder.
