The Jewish cemetery was part of our walking tour around the old Jewish quarter in Krakow. As the tour guide explained, the cemetery took a number of beatings, first by the Nazis in WWII, then by the Soviets whose heavy industry on the outskirts of town caused acid rain to erode the 400+ year-old tombstones.
