UNWTO Tourism and Media Conference 2012, Egypt
At 12:30 Egypt time (10:30 GMT/6:30 EST) we will be presenting, together with Erica Hargreave of Ahimsa Media, at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) 2nd Conference for Tourism and Media entitled Partnering with Media in Challenge Times. We will highlight the unique role of digital storytellers and professional travel bloggers in this context through a talk on Real-time Digital Storytelling for Destinations During Challenging News Cycles: Case Study Egypt.
In the presentation, we will share the results of our #WeVisitEgypt campaign covering our last few days traveling through Egypt, from the desert of Wadi El-Hitan (Valley of the Whales) outside of Cairo to the blue waters of the Red Sea — sharing our experiences and stories with our audience along the way.

This is so Fabulous to be able to watch/listen to this livestreaming–I never knew there was a UN World Tourism Org. before…I’ve always wondered as a traveler/tourist if somehow I was helping the local culture in a small way & am thinking the world bloggers/photographers/storytellers do even more, thanks y’all?!
